  • AQUA has an interesting premise, but due to the color scheme and choice of background colors, the game becomes annoying to play as you constantly fall of the edge and die. If this was meant to be a challenge, it is something the game can do without. As much as I could play (and keep on dying and keep trying again) it was interesting. Music would have been a good addition along with sound effects. There were some technical issues with the game which made it not work on my phone. A PC port would probably be good to have.
  • A very interesting take on the theme and one I thoroughly enjoyed. I had issues with the controls and because of which I hated the floating platforms; if only it were not drifting in space where every wrong step would mean a game restart. Loved the art and style, a mention of its source in the game would have been appreciated. The lack of audio was slightly jarring. My real pain was the control system and how sluggish the movement felt in comparison.
  • Challenges feel quite shallow in terms of navigating and the bugs/monsters. Apart from finding other inmates there aren't any emotional swings which for a narrative driven game feels like a very incomplete experience. It's hard to relate or really care about anyone when all you see is a snipet of their life or personality and choose to kill or not. Largely there seem to be only 2 choices from the outside, either kill everyone or don't kill anyone. Controls and UX can be much better as well in terms of moving about and targetting, since it's not a game of dexterity, the player should have as easy of a time as possible to move around and interact with the world.
