Byte-Sized Delights is a bundle I (QueenOfSquiggles) am coordinating to run for the duration of March.
There will be two variants: the main bundle and the budget bundle.
The main bundle will go for $60, or roughly equivalent to a AAA game.
The budget option will go for $10 to allow people who can't afford AAA prices to still get in on the game.
You will have an option to exclude your game from the budget bundle.
The bundle will run for the duration of March.
All revenue will go for an even split across all developers (which is why only one submission is allowed)
If you have any further questions and/or suggestions for the jam or bundle, feel free to discuss in the forums. As with everything, be civil and kind to everyone you meet.
Voted on rankings will not be valid reason for disqualification from the bundle. It's just a fun way to see what games people are most excited to see in the bundle
If you want to see the original thread about this, see my mastodon post about it.
I'm planning on running multiple iterations of this bundle, so just pick your favourite, and you can do a different one next time.
This helps make revenue a more even split across all devs
If you really want to, you can make a game during the jam duration, but that's not my intent.
I want this bundle to include projects you can be proud of
Each platform download must be under 1Gb. It's OK if it's a compressed, archived file. So long as that download is under 1 Gb.
Voting on this is actually public, so the ranking will be more of a suggestion than any limitation. So long as your submission meets criteria, it can be included in the bundle.
If your game submission is hateful, it will not be included in the bundle.
I want to make sure no bad actors try to add incredibly low-effort games to the bundle just to get a slice of the money. These are indie games so as long as you're not intentionally doing this you'll probably be fine.
This is just to make sure people purchasing the bundle can make their own decisions whether or not to play your game. This will not disqualify your game from being included in the bundle, so long as it follows all other criteria.
So long as your game meets all other criteria, it can be a paid or free game. However it is desireable to submit more paid games than free games since people are going to be buying the bundle to save money. If you want/have to submit a free game that's allowed and will not count against your submission. But just keep in mind the goal of the bundle.
