Welcome to the Can Jam where we believe everyone from the best of the best to beginners should feel welcome. Everyone can jam if we do things right.

WHAT'S OUR GOAL?

Our goal is to offer a theme that will lend itself to creativity while allowing opportunity to game designers at any level. It's important to us that those new to building games find an environment that will allow them to grow. If you are a beginner, we that you add the letter "B" after the title of your game. For instance, if your game is titled River Run and you're in the early stages of learning how to make games, name your game River Run B. 

We ask that as many people as possible play games with a B in the title and provide quality advice and feedback to help build future game designers. We also want to see plenty of high quality games that will allow so everyone can see what is possible. 

Let the best designers in the game fight it out while laying the foundation for those to follow. 

We also request that if at all possible, you make your game playable on itch.io. This will keep those who may not have the biggest and best computers be able to experience all of your games without using up space on their computers. We also encourage you to upload your game even if it isn't finished. 

WHAT IF LIFE GETS IN THE WAY?

We know things happen in life and we want you to still be able to get feedback to continue building your game to its full potential. We just ask that you add an NF after the title if you didn't finish so people play and comment on it with context.

Be creative. Be kind. Be helpful. Be open to everyone getting better.
