What is Chip 'N Jam?

Chip 'N Jam (derived from 'To Chip in' and 'Game Jam') is a 48 hour Game Jam to help raise some money for Cat Protection - Pawsome Players. We know that times are tough for everyone at the moment, but if you can Chip in , it would make a difference. (Together you've already helped raise £320 for the National Video Game museum  in our last jam!)

Cat Protection is a UK based Charity that help around 200k cats and kittens annually. They operate under 3 simple objectives; Housing cats and kittens into good homes, Informing and improving peoples understanding of cats and how to care for them. Cat Protection put cats at the centre of everything they do, and during this pandemic people need more support while vets are operating limited services

Theme & Focus

When creating your entry, you will be limited to a theme and mechanical focus. These will be announced 20th Nov 2020 16:00:00 GMT.

This encompasses both a mechanical and thematic restriction to hopefully provide a fun starting point to come up with ideas.

Theme : Don't Lose Faith
Focus : Power Ups!

Rules / Regulations

There just a couple things we want you to follow when partaking in this Jam:

1. Be as creative as possible.
2. You can use 3rd party assets that you can legally use and MUST be explicit in conveying what part of your submission is original.
3. We don't want any of those lewd games, there's a time and a place for those... probably.
4. Please don't re-skin a previous project.
5. You can use any Game Engine that you want.
6. You can work in a team or go solo! (If you want to find new teammates, check out the #looking-4-team channel on the Discord Server)

Get Involved!

There are several ways in which you can get involved. We have a Discord Server where you can chat with other developers, look for a team or even just share your current progress! You can also Tweet using #chipnjam to show off your work. If you want to work with a team, you can use the looking for a team channel in our discord to help you find a group, or you can work by yourself if you want.

On the 23rd @4pm we will be streaming all the submissions live over on (https://tiltify.com/@chip-n-jam/chipnjam-autumn-2020).

Submissions

Once you've completed work on your game, please submit it through this Game Jam page.  Once the deadline has been hit the submission portal will close and all submission will be open for public voting, where you can go and experience everyone's game, leave feedback and vote for their game!
