Desktop ttrpg publishing is decadent and depraved .

so anyway it’s great that folks have learned InDesign and polished up their hobby publishing skills enough to make a living at making role playing game stuff.

That’s not what this is about. This is about your late night scrawlings. About your failed one shot that nobody wanted to finish playing. About collaboration with your far-flung TTRPG pals.

It’s about unlearning InDesign.  About finishing mega dungeon stuff you gave up on last year. Genre conventions suck, and for our purposes here I wouldn’t edit things too much. Sticking to the grid during whatever passes for layout of your submission is discouraged

You get bonus points for satire, collaboration with one or more other contestants, genre bending/breaking, unpolished mechanics, grim humor, and presentation that is not a byproduct of desktop publishing software. System agnosis/amnesia is a feature, not a bug. Steal or borrow a monster/room/faction/spell/item/map/whatever from another contestant   The jam community is here to coordinate these kinds of things.

Have a child or your pet make the art if you like. Or don’t  : have the AI hallucinate it for you. I’m generally against the use of AI to make anything but this won’t be for sale,  the winner gets no glory nor prizes only useless self-satisfaction and the envy/animosity of their peers

hatred/bigotry/sexism/transphobia will not be tolerated and is disqualifying
