NO LIMITATIONS OR CHOICES, YOU CREATE THE GAME YOU WANT! IT CAN BE A SIMULATION GAME, A STRATEGY GAME, A STORY DRIVEN GAME, A 2D PLATFORMER... ANYTHING! ANYTHING YOU WANT... GET CREATIVE!

• What does the game jam consist of?

ANYTHING! Yes, anything! CityMayor Games will allow you to create your games, let your imagination run wild!

• How long is it?

A WHOLE MONTH! From the first day of July (01st July 2014 @ Midnight) to the last day of July (30th July 2014 @ Midnight)

• Can everyone enter?

YES! We allow everyone, from amateur game developers to great indie developers!

• Can I submit a paid game? (This question was added in on 12th July 2014 regarding a game that was submitted)

NO! We do not allow games that were developed for the game jam be paid games, this also includes micro transactions, pay-to-wins, in-app purchases, etc... We can understand that you might want to get paid for the game you developed, but since you are sending it in to our game jam, it has to be free-to-play. Why? Because our company develops free-to-play games (check it out here: www.citymayorgames.wix.com/home#!games/c127g) and if your game does get selected and wins the game jam, and you do accept to publish the game with CityMayor Games (see below), it has to be a free-to-play game, if you want to know more, visit our site about submitting games to CityMayor Games (PLEASE NOTE: Although the site you visit (below) does say about submitting games to our company in general, it does apply to this game jam as well!), visit here: www.citymayorgames.wix.com/home#!submit-your-games/c1qyr

• Can I send a previous game I made?

NO! Sadly we cannot allow games that were previously developed before this game jam, they have to be developed within the game jam (July)

• Can I make it alone or with a group (maybe friends, family, my little indie group, etc...)?

YES! You can make this game by yourself, with your friends, family, or even your little indie group!

• Who can vote?

EVERYONE! Everyone and anyone can vote for this game jam (10th August 2014 @ Noon)

• End Result?
  

The winner of the game jam will have his/her game featured on the CityMayor Games twitch.tv channel as well as opportunities to publish the game with CityMayor Games!

• You can also livestream your game or make a video!

You can also broadcast your game live on your online channel (ex: twitch.tv, Google+ Hangout, etc...) or you can make a video of you developing your game onto your video channel (ex: YouTube, etc...)

• Can I promote this game jam?

YES! Go ahead... Share this game jam on Facebook, Twitter and any other social media site. Make a video to promote the game jam on YouTube and any other video site... Go ahead and promote it!
