What is a Game Jam?
A Game Jam is a short event where you and others work together to create a small game. Most Jams have some kind of restriction on theme or style to get you thinking about games in a new way. Game Jams are a great way to test ideas, build on your skills, and meet other awesome creative people.
Who are you?
My name is Adam aka Space Frogs, I am a streamer and an Indie Game Dev. I stream daily to my Twitch stream and upload clips and VODs to my YouTube account. I have Dissociative Identity Disorder(DID) and have around 14 alters at the moment, if you watch my streams you will eventually meet them. This is important so I can show you and others that even though I have this really hard thing to happen to me I am still able to do so much. I have also been in the Mental Health Profession for around 7 years and talk about that a lot as I know most of the ins and outs. I am a big advocate for Men's Mental Health and supporting those who have disorders or disabilities. I do this as my wife has Fibromyalgia, Autism, and ADHD; I have DID, Plantar Fasciitis, and ADHD; and I work specifically with people who have mental and physical disabilities. It is important we support each other no matter what.
Why should I join this Game Jam?
I created this game jam for the soul purpose of building up a solid community that revolves around making awesome shit. In combination to my own Streaming and Game Development I have realized that I just enjoy to talk to others who are in the same boat as me, as well as give them advice. The discord is welcome to all solo devs, musicians, artists, programmers, streaming community, folks with DID and other mental/physical disabilities, and anyone else. The community will be open to all who want to join no matter what your joining for, we will always have a place for you.

- You must follow the Itch Terms Of Service
- No teams of more than 5 people.
- If you do need to leave let your team know in advance.
- Do not attempt to sabotage other teams.
- Be cool to each other.
- Make sure the game runs, submit HTML, GDScript or something similar.
- Not Safe for Life:
- No AI-Generated Content.

- You can only use assets you have the commercial license for.
Some asset packs only allow non-commercial use.
Make sure you know the licensing limits for anything you use.
- Please use free resources and asset packs out there. There are so many free resources and asset packs out there, but there is a huge taboo about using them, I hate this line of thinking. So use them, in fact I encourage it.
- You can use AI for a part of your game if you have purchased it, but not for the entirety of the game. Ensure that any AI used is appropriately licensed for commercial use and that you adhere to the licensing terms.
Rating Criteria
The rating for this jam is judged by the community and yourselves. The ratings that determined the winner will be
Play-ability
- Were systems in your game clunky or polished?
- Was the game tripping over itself when others are playing
- Focus on play-ability and make sure your build works.
- This is the most important category and counts for a lot.
Artistic Style
- Style is not bound only to Triple A assets from major studios.
- Pixel Art, Midi Songs, Foley work and more are all in that artistic style.
- Just make something YOU think works and run with it.
- How well you incorporated that style into your demo.
Theme Implementation
- Did you follow the Theme of the Jam?
- Was the theme entirely ignored?
- Did you implement the theme in a clever and interesting way?
Submissions
- This is a very limited working copy of your game.
- Focus on playability over anything else.
- If it doesn't run, it won't win.
But I don't have the skills to do this I hear you say.
Yes you do, watch if you do not believe me:

Use any and all knowledge on how to make your game. Don't limit yourself just because someone else said that game development doesn't work like that. Use what works for you.
Frequently Asked Questions
[What if I don't have enough time to submit or I miss the submission deadline?]
Don't stress too much, this jam is intended to just be a fun escape or a fun challenge. We can work with those who miss the deadline by a short while but all submissions are due at the due date (March 4th). During the rating period you are able to push game breaking bug fixes but can not add more content until after the week long rating is done. After rating is done you can update it to your hearts content!
[I have my own assets or bought assets in the past are they okay to use?]
You may use game assets that you have rights to use (Purchased, Free, Original assets), This goes for Art and Music
[What is considered 18+ Content?]
For the game jam we want to try to keep it as family friendly as we can. so that means - No Nudity/sex/overly suggestive themes - No gore or gory - no games that revolve around heavy topics (Suicide/bullying/sexism/racism)
