All Construct users are invited to join for the first annual Construct Jam!
No matter if you are a veteran Construct user or you are trying out the engine for the first time.
The jam will start on January 3 2025 and end on January 13, 2025. Both days are at 6:00 pm USA Eastern Time. This means that the jam runs for 10 days, including 2 weekends. The theme will be announced when the Jam starts.
You will have 10 days to create a game. Your goal is to make a fun game while considering the theme that will be announced when the jam starts! You can use premade assets, so long as you have the rights/licence to use them, abide by their Terms of Use and give credit as required. No copyright or trademarked violations, please.
Once your game is completed and uploaded to Itch the community judging begins. If you have trouble submitting your game, refer to our guide below! Please keep in mind that submissions will not be accepted past the deadline, it's wise to submit well before the final few minutes.
Once the community judging period ends, the judges will play the top games and rate them. The judges' ratings will be how the winners are decided.
The games will be assessed in the following categories along with some questions you can ask yourself if you're having trouble assigning a rating:
Gameplay
How much did you enjoy your time? Did you find yourself completing the game? Would you love to see this game as a full release?
Visuals
Did you love the visuals? Did the visuals do something interesting or thought-provoking? Was it a feast for your eyes?
Audio
Did the music and sound effects work well with the other game elements? Was all the audio suitable for this game? Was there lots of nuance in how sound was used?
Theme
Is it obvious where the theme was? Was the theme used in a clever way?
Innovation
Was this game something you haven't seen before? Did it impress you on a technical level?
Each game will be rated by fellow jammers. If you submit a game, you can play and leave a rating others’ games. You have to rate 5 games before you're allowed to rate specific games. After the rating period, the Judges will play the top games and decide on the winners.

How can I submit my game?
Create an HTML build of your game and upload it to Itch. Configure the game to play on the web. That's all!
Can I work with multiple people on the same game?
Yes!
Can I use a pre-existing game or copy-paste portions from a different project?
It's not good sportsmanship to copy-paste events from a different project. Try to practice making something from scratch. You'll get more out of it, and it will be more fair!
I need help forming a team or I have other questions.
Check out the community tab for this jam located at https://itch.io/jam/construct-jam-2025/community or chat in the construct community discord mentioned above.
Can I submit my game to another jam?
Yes, as long as you started working on the game after Jan 3rd.
Which Engines can I use?
Construct Classic, Construct 2 or Construct 3
Can my game have NSFW content?
Please no pornographic, nudity, or other adult content. We want to be able to showcase the beautiful games made for the jam!
When can I submit my game?
You can submit any time before the rating period. Check the counter at the top of the jam page. Once the timer expires, you will not be able to submit anything.
