Welcome to the Couch Dungeon Jam! Make yourself comfortable...

The Couch Dungeon Jam (#CouchDungeon) is a tabletop RPG jam inspired by IKEA's build-your-own-sofa site, and the idea that you could create dungeons out of something as innocuous and comfy as a couch

Submissions open from June 26th - July 26th (midnight EDT)

Rules

  • Write a tabletop game, module, hack, or other physical/analog RPG game
    • If it is a standalone game, make sure that it can be played by itself (with accessories like dice, pen and paper, cards, etc.)
    • If it is a module, make sure it's explicit what system it is made for (or that it's system agnostic if that's the case)
    • If it is a hack, make sure to provide all of the rules to play
  • Whatever you make must feature a couch dungeon
    • This is open to interpretation! It could be a dungeon made out of couches, a couch that is a dungeon, a couch that is a metaphorical dungeon...as long as you can describe the main part of it as a couch dungeon, you're good
  • No games with bigotry or promotion of hatred towards marginalized groups (e.g. sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism)
    • Only exception are games that respectfully engage with those themes
  • Have fun!
    • Make sure to take care of yourself
    • This is a very chill jam, if you need to make a late submission just DM me on Twitter!

Share your game with the #CouchDungeon tag!

This jam is organized by Kienna (@KiennaS on Twitter/kiennas.itch.io). If there's any questions about this jam, feel free to @ or DM me!
