Assignment : Game Jam

Create a 2D or 3D game including a map, main character, and Ai Navigation. You can adapt from the knowledge you’ve learned in the class to implement this game. This Assignment is due November 19, 2023 on 11:59 pm.

Requirements

1. Create a map (you can download some assets from the asset store, but not a complete map; you can also modify it the way you like).
2. Add a main character to your map (modify the character model/ animation as desired).
3. Use Ai Navigation in anyway you like.
4. Build your game and submit it to itch.io CPE101 Game Jam #66.

Criteria

Idea

• Concept: The game's concept or idea refers to the core premise and the unique selling point that sets it apart from other games. Is the concept innovative, original, and interesting? Does it offer something fresh to the gaming landscape?
• Gameplay Mechanics: The idea should be translated into engaging gameplay mechanics. Are the game's mechanics intuitive and enjoyable? Do they align with the overall concept and contribute to a sense of immersion?

Fun

• Ultimately, a game needs to be fun to play. Is the gameplay experience enjoyable and satisfying? Does it offer a sense of challenge without being overly frustrating?

Visuals

• Graphics: Visual quality is a crucial aspect of a game's appeal. Are the graphics well-designed, detailed, and aesthetically pleasing? Do they match the game's theme and style?
• Art Style: The game's art style contributes to its identity and atmosphere. Does the art style enhance immersion and storytelling? Is it consistent throughout the game?
