  • - Polished main menu UI, with graphics options, which I would not expect for a game jam game. I don’t know what the sensitivity slider does, though. - Good audio and music throughout the game. - Impressive graphics overall for a game that was developed in such a short time. - The narrative introduction with VO is nice. It would be nice if it repeated when replaying the levels. - Partial gamepad support - I could move and shoot but not turn. This is a type of game that would be great to play with a gamepad. - The game would benefit from a brief tutorial with game controls and arrows in level 1 to point the player toward what they are supposed to do to start. - Starting level 1, I couldn’t figure out what to do, as no instructions were provided about how to move, shoot, and open doors. I tried every key on the keyboard and every mouse button to try to open the door that I am facing when I started, but none of it worked. Eventually, I figured out I could rocket jump with my cannon and escape up from the other side of the room. - Rocket/cannon jump mechanic is fun, but disorienting and can cause you to go through the walls outside the level. The levels are not large enough to take advantage of the rocket jump mechanic. - The slime enemies I faced could not be damaged when either very close or very far from them. Their 2D health bars rotated with them rather than with the player’s facing. - The boss fight with its own level was nice for a but could use more polish and a larger level that allows the player to utilize the rocket jump mechanic.. The boss chased me and made my screen blur, which I could not determine how to avoid. It was disorienting and likely to induce motion sickness in some players. At one point, I was trapped when the Boss pinned me against a wall. It slightly matches the game jam theme, as the rocket jump mechanic can be inconvenient, though a cannon weapon is not really a superpower.
  • Fun and challenging, but mechanics feel too familiar with minimal innovation. The UI is clean but lacks thematic consistency, and the controls could be more responsive. Good sound effects, but occasional bugs and lack of originality affect the overall player experience.
