The phrase "Attack and Dethrone God" comes from a Fox News report comparing the current political protests to the actions of a group called the Weather Underground Organization (WUO) that was active during the 1960s and 1970s. Falsely claiming that the final goal of their manifesto was to "Attack and Dethrone God," the phrase immediately went viral on twitter, especially among fans of JRPGs, or Japanese Role Playing Games, in which themes of attacking and "dethroning" god are often a central theme.

But why should JRPGs have all the fun? This jam is designed to compile existing games that play with the theme of attacking and dethroning god, and encourage you to create new games (or modules or hacks or larps or whatever you can think of!) with this theme!

Guidelines to joining this jam:

• Submit a physical game that falls within the theme of attacking and dethroning God, a god, or someone or something that is a metaphor for god, such as a person or institution of power. So long as you believe your game embodies the spirit of the phrase, it counts.
• You can make a new game for this jam or submit an already existing game.
• Your game can be a hack of an already existing game, be a module for an existing game, be something brand new, be a larp, or anything else you can think of so long as it reasonably falls under the category of a role playing or lyric game.
• Feel free to submit multiple entries to this jam!
• You can submit a game that has already been submitted to another jam — check out Blue Golem Games' Attack and Dethrone God Jam!
• This is just for fun. There will be no judging or prizes; this is a place where people can come to find awesome games focused around a central theme.
• Feel free to price your game if you wish, though pay-what-you-want and free games are also welcome. If you do put a price on your game, you are encouraged to include community copies for those in financial need.
• Be sure to include content warnings and safety tools if your game deals with heavy subjects!
• Racism, transphobia, homophobia, and other bigotry will not be tolerated in games or in the community message boards.
