🏆 Dog Game Jam 🏆

We are excited to bring another game jam with focus towards a dog. This is a great opportunity to explore your creativity while working with an animal character. We will provide you with the player character assets so you can focus on designing and implementing the gameplay features. This contest is open to any teams/single developer who can/are interested in building games with a forcing function of a week's time.

📘 Contest Rules

1. We encourage you to participate solo or in a team of up to 4 members.

2. You will have to work using our character asset for your player. However, you can choose to use any marketplace assets or other assets to build your world and NPC characters. 

3. You must submit a web based build.

4. NSFW content must be appropriately marked on the itch page.

5. You should be using source control and all content should be pushed to a public repo (we encourage making the code open source)

📦 Package Details:

Please join our discord (https://discord.gg/bmbmSTHb) to get access to our character package.

Each package will contain a base model, maps, and locomotion animations that you can use for your player character.

Engines and Frameworks:

You are welcome to use any of the following game engines to complete your development. 

Unreal | Unity | Godot | GDevelop | Phaser | pygame | Scratch | ThreeJS (You can also pick an engine/framework that is not listed here.) 

📍 How to Enter📍

Please share your team details in our discord channel #contest-entry with your team name, team count, and engine.

📍How to Submit Your Work📍

You need to submit your work in our discord in #contest-submissions with your team name, lead name, publicly hosted game web link, github source link, 1 minute youtube gameplay video link. Please refer to the submission format example in contest-submissions 

Participants can join the event and make a submission anytime before the last day of this event. 

Our contest will start on September 16th 2022 at 6:00 PM PT and will end on September 25th 2022 at 11:59 PM PT. All participants are advised to complete their contest-submissions by the deadline

We will DM the winners directly after the event has concluded and make announcements through Discord.
