Welcome to the draw ‘n’ jam, half art contest, half game jam, all fun! This game jam is a unique take on the idea of art competitions, as well as mixing in a game jam as well. The rules of the jam are simple, and it can be thought of as 2 separate contests with the same theme. Once the jam starts, a theme will be revealed, that the art and games will be made around, tying the two halves of this jam together. Each contest will be held individually, and judged individually.
If you’re a game dev who can’t draw, then join the game side.
If you’ve never thought about making a game, but you’ve been drawing your whole life, join the art side.
This jam has two distinct pools, the game making competition, and the art competition. Each side will be judged individually, and will have their own winners. At the end of the jam, games will be judged using itch.io’s system, and all art entries will be entered into a google form to be voted on by the community.
Anyone can enter, and this jam is just for fun, so whether this is your first jam, or your 23rd, it’s sure to be a blast!
The first place of both competitions will earn epic bragging rights be the ultimate winner of the draw ‘n’ jam.
In the end, this jam is all for fun, so try your best to make something awesome!
There will be one overarching theme for both of the competitions, that the art and games will be based around. Theme will be a main voting category, but if you want to make a game of your own style, and completely disregard the theme, you can do that too! The theme is... "A New Perspective".
