That was fun, the dash did get me stuck but it also revealed a nice feature for me, I could use it to get to higher levels. If you do extend this that could be something you could use for a leveling up system. Where at first you can only do level ground dashes, but later can dash further and reach upper levels for secrets or bigger fights. 
Loved the big monster crawling, and the souls running to the statue looks awesome as well. Great submission. Well done
