The mechanics are fun, typing letters to form words will obliterate zombies. The team is communicative and updates the game frequently.
KeybaordKommader is the game I would have killed to play back in middle school when we were forced to learn typing through tedious and boring typing games like "Type to Learn". KeyboardKommander actually has game mechanics that add strategy and depth to the typing experience. It's got simple rpg-esque progression, and powerups that make the typing gameplay fun, which is more than any typing game before can say. I wished the different levels (city, forest, lab) changed up the game-play more, though. But overall, 5/5 stars
Loved playing this game! Went for over an hour building my skills and analyzing the game and its features. A couple unexpected bugs were discovered like the words disappearing every so often but pressing backspace brought them back.
I agree with another review that said it might be easier to see the interactive aspects if the background was slightly different color pallet (although I really like the color scheme as it is) .. the UI if it was smaller would help with not obstructing my view of what I'm supposed to type.
Overall I played it quite a bit more than expected due to its shear addictive qualities. The action and skill-testing got me pumped up!
Here's a video of me playing it live on Twitch, proudly with a dev & programmer from the game in chat at the time. :-D
Buff coin system now more visible
Numerous bugs fixed.
New Micro-update tries out a new camera for the game.
