EGaDS! High Score Game Jam

The 2024 EGaDS! High Score Game Jam will be completely virtual and will be divided into two major parts. The jam will begin on Friday, July 12th @ 7 PM CDT and will conclude on Sunday, July 14th @ 8 PM CDT, with participants creating and submitting their games. Then, from Monday, July 15th @ 7 PM CDT to Sunday, July 21st @ 8 PM CDT, participants will rate games on various criteria and compete to get the highest score in each game! Anyone is welcome to join! Even if you’ve been in a few game jams or if this will be your first. Game Jams are amazing opportunities to polish your skills, learn new skills, work as a team, gain experience, and have a good time creating games! We will also have team matching forms for anyone who would like to be matched to a team!

Who are we?

The Electronic Game Developers Society is an interdisciplinary organization for students at The University of Texas at Austin (UT) with a passion for game development. Our mission is to help students grow as developers while fostering a supportive and welcoming community.

How do I join?

Join the Discord server for the game jam to chat with participants, mentors, and club officers. You can sign up for automated team matching or form a team on your own. Then, show up when the jam starts on Friday, July 12th, 2024 @ 7 PM CDT to learn the theme and create a game in 48 hours around the theme. Submit that game to this page when you're ready!
