I had a similar experience too, and it was a pretty magical feeling one, honestly! I feel like I partly got better through conscious strategizing, and partly through an instinct that developed subconsciously without me fully understanding it--the combo of those two is where the magic was. Lovely clean aesthetic and great feel with the animations. Really loved it!
I had the same experience as Broquaint - the first level took me quite a few tries, but then I was able to get to Grandmaster (and beat it!) without too much trouble.
This is a great successor to Purple Paths, the two game feel very cohesive even though they have completely different approaches to puzzle-ing.
Also I think I spotted a tiny eggplant (!?!) but I cut the grass to quickly to get a good look at it.
Nice, thanks for playing! I was very deliberate about using the same sort of design philosophy as Purple Paths: puzzle-like, but without a set solution and with just a touch of randomness.
And yes, every plant segment has a 1/100 chance of having an eggplant. :)
I played maybe 5 games on Beginner but couldn't finish the task but then something clicked and I got through to Grandmaster (but not yet past!) in quick succession. For a game with minimal movement it felt like there was a lot going on in a brain–teasery sort of way, it's good!
Thanks for playing, I'm glad you were able to get into it! There's definitely a learning curve at first to figure out how to actually strategize and use the cloud to your advantage.
