What is Egypt Game Jam?

Egypt Game Jam is ITI's yearly game jam hosted and organized by ITI, Game Development Academy, and IGDA.

Who can join?

Anyone with passion towards game development. Whether you have created tens of games or your jam submission would be your first game, the site welcomes all jammers.

The submitted games rules

Allowed Content

The jam doesn’t allow adult, excessively violent, or disturbing content of any type.

Additionally, any asset flips will result in immediate disqualification.

Tools

You can use whatever tools you have the commercial license for.

Assets and crediting

Feel free to use any open-source and free assets. It’s encouraged though if you can create your own assets. This applies to code, visual, and audio assets.

Generative AI tools aren’t allowed

The use of AI-generated assets is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. Your game may not contain AI generated art, code (including copilot), music, or anything else that AI can generate by the time this jam starts. AI in this context refers to machine learning, procedural generation is of course okay.

Diversifiers

The following diversifiers can be followed to make your game standout from everyone’s ideas.

Super Saiyan

A one-man team? Know how to design, code, model and create awesome SFX? This is your chance to shine!!

Aspiring Creators

One (or more) of the team members is less than 15 years old. The aspiring creators in the team must have a significant contribution in the making process as they will share this info with the judges.

Fun is fun no matter the medium

They say a great game designer can create an awesome idea with just a pen and paper.

Create a non-video game, be it a board game, tabletop, card game, you name it!

Genuine Connection

Get creative with the input controlling the character/the game. Only stop once your players feel they’re truly part of the experience.

Submissions

The game should be exported to one (or more) of the following platforms:

• PC
• Web
• Mobile (preferably Android)

That’s if you’d like more players to download and play your game.

The game will be evaluated based on:

• Closeness to the jam's theme
• Innovation (Idea)
• Execution (Complete playable experience)
• Fun
• Quality

thier is two main way the game will get evaluated acording to them .

   3. industry experts from the Egypt game jam event.
