  • I love the presentation, diarama. Good composition and framing. Interesting asset layout and setup! Materials need a lot of work. You have basic shapes down, but closer inspection leaves a lot of be desired. Much of this unfortunately comes off as photoshop filters and doesn't represent the underlying material, like wooden planks or fabrics. You seem to have incorrectly hooked up the roughness map for the cabinet material as well, resulting in a strange look as it's now entirely metallic. Try to use Material Instances instead of making unique materials and please explore the shading models - foliage can have the foliage shading model and allow for some nice light bleed through. I like the hand painted approach on the leaves, but you're missing a roughness map to help define the surface more. Texture sizes are gigantic for the size of the assets - we don't need 2k maps for a plant pot or these books for instance. Please take care and make sure you're achieving a more consistent and better texel density. For next steps, I'd recommend doing a clean-up pass. Use material instances and spend a bit more time per material to make sure it reads better, along with adjusting texture sizes. You have a good layout, but need to spend more time on material definition. Your normal maps do a lot of damage to the scene when viewed up close, and some of the material work is distracting. Take a step back and spend a bit more time on material research - it might seem boring but it will help even with a stylized project like this. Wood grain and foliage, along with your other surfaces can be treated with a bit more nuance and I promise the time spent there will only strengthen this scene and your future work. It might seem mundane and boring, but spending more time here will pay in dividends and make you a faster, better artist.
