  • Hi Ray, I'm glad you used the project to get better at sculpting. I think it's a good first pass, but I recommend on continuing to refine this scene. Your lighting is pretty solid, but here some areas where I think you could focus on to help bring this to a better level: 1. Your final sculpts seems a little blobby and shapeless. I'd strongly recommend not going too deep in high-res sculpting until you actually get the low res shapes better defined - and only once you can't add detail, then you subdivide and add another layer (and keep doing so). You could also use SubStance Designer to creating tiling materials and apply them to a low poly mesh instead, as you might see being done in some of the reference games you've posted. 2. It's hard to get a sense of scale with this kind of environment, so I'd recommend added more small / medium scale detail - in foliage, smaller greeble and items. I see you were thinking about it in your references - so definitely come back to this element and maybe add some overgrown foliage draping the walls and moss on the stone flooring.
