- Hi Deevya, First of all - good job on this project. I love a lot of things about this, but at the end of the day you have a very strong piece and great materials to showcase. You mentioned you were uncomfortable or new to lighting in your notes, and while I think you've done a good first pass - I'd recommend trying to add more contrast to the scene. My recommendation is to maybe focus on the shop as the main focal point, and the staircase with the long shadows it casts as the second. I'd investigate looking into adding a bit of color instead of using the white light here. You have some sparks in the other alley, but you have a pretty strong white light from overhead - what if the sparks were the only light source here and had a nice blue fill? Some other minor notes here: 1. You've incorporated some motion here - but it makes the non-spinning fan blades even more apparent - although the stills aren't effected it would be cool to see them moving. 2. The flags hanging overhead seem very 'underwater', I'd give it more lateral movement instead of bobbing up and down. 3. The scale of the garbage bin wheels seem a bit off to me - perhaps they're built differently in your area, but they do seem fairly large. 4. I am seeing some z-fighting and mesh clipping (the wall behind the garbage bin and some of the kitchen's backwall is popping over into the alley). Good job, this is a very strong portfolio piece.
