The ArtCenter Game Jam challenges everyone to assemble a team and take an idea from concept to a playable game in about 48 hours.
From Friday evening through Sunday afternoon, participants will get hands-on opportunities in designing video games, pitching concepts and working in teams, culminating with an award ceremony live on campus.

You need to be an ArtCenter student to participate.
Each team will need to be registered so we can organize the "closing ceremony". It will have its own channel on our Discord server.
THEME
The theme will be announced live on Discord when the jam starts (Friday October 25th ,12pm PST).

SCHEDULE
Friday October 25th - noon PST - Kick Off! Theme revealed. (Discord)
Sunday October 27th - noon PST - all games must be submitted (itch.io).
Sunday October 27th - 2pm PST - Closing ceremony on the school's Hillside campus (1700 Lida St, Pasadena, CA). Each team will have 10 minutes to present their game live in our Ahmanson Auditorium. Our jury of industry professionals will select the winner of Best in Theme.
Monday November 4th - The Audience Award will be announced on our Discord server (based on itch.io votes as well as live votes from our students)
RULES
The maximum team size is 8. Each team must have at least 4 Game Design students including 1 from Term 5 or 7 (Team Captain), 1 from Term 3 and 1 from Term 1.
You can reuse existing assets as long as you have the rights to use them.
Your entry must be your own original work or free online resources. Your entry may not include any third party trademarks (logos, names) or copyrighted materials (music, images, video, recognizable people) unless you have obtained permission to use the materials.
Appropriate credits must be given.
