This game really got to me, so simple yet so deep
It looks great, sound great, and the premise is nice. But it's not fun. I get that it supposed to be hard, but as a game you're getting too little feedback to whether you're doing anything right. Most of the time you stumble into stars and fly right past any planet you're trying to scan, and thats it. You'll keep on going star to star but really frustrated that you're mostly looking at a black screen trying to get anywhere at all.
Personally I would make the speed of the ship lower, the distance to planets way shorter. I would add some shorter gameplay loop than trying to find life. It could be gathering resources such as fuel to keep the ship flying, dangerous asteroid fields or trickier controls that you'll have to learn to master. Any of these would make the game more engaging and ultimately get the premise across much better.
could be a really, and i mean REALLY, good game, but the difficulty of it (i should note it isnt fun challenging difficulty, but tedious one tiny mistake and you're completely gone difficulty) takes away from the core aspects of the game that could make it very enjoyable. Other than that, the concept, visuals, and atmosphere (pun intended) make it an interesting game
