The theme for this fighting game jam is "Science, Art, and Nature".

All games should incorporate these three words into the characters, visuals, or mechanics in some way. You can explore the intersection of science and art through the design of your characters, or use nature as a source of inspiration for the abilities and powers of your fighters. Alternatively, you could use science, art, and nature as themes for the stages and backgrounds in your game. The possibilities are endless, so get creative and see what you can come up with!

As fans of the fighting game genre, we know that there is always room for more great fighting games. That's why we created the Fighting Jam - to encourage and support the creation of new and unique fighting games from talented developers.

For the purposes of this jam, a fighting game is defined as a video game in which two or more players control characters and engage in combat using hand-to-hand or weapons-based attacks. This includes games with one-on-one, two-on-two, and multiple player battles in a player versus player style. The game must have a focus on direct combat between characters and must have mechanics and systems in place to support this gameplay.
