Welcome to Flo's Autumn Jam!
Theme: [Controlled Chaos]
As this is a Multi-Server Game and Open to the Public, here are some Rules for us to follow. Games that do not follow these rules will be unlisted and disqualified:
General Rules
- Respectfulness: Treat your fellow participants with respect. Harassment, impersonation, or intentionally aggravating others will not be tolerated.
- Appropriate Content: Your game must be appropriate for all audiences. No NSFW, gore, or otherwise explicit and disturbing content is allowed.
- Sensitive Topics: If your game touches on political or religious themes, please handle them with care and sensitivity. Ensure that these topics are approached in a way that is thoughtful and respectful.
Game Jam-Specific Rules:
- Respect the Theme: Once the theme is announced, make sure your game concept aligns with it.
- Tools & Engines: You can use any game development tools, engines, or programming languages. Free assets are allowed.
- Team Size: You may team up, but no more than 2 people per game. Teams of 3 or more will be disqualified.
- Platform Requirements: Your game must be free-to-play and either cross-platform or playable in a browser.
- AI-Generated Assets: These are permitted but must be credited appropriately.
- Bonus Points: Open-source submissions will earn you extra points!
Tips:
- Submit, Even If It's Not Finished: Don’t hesitate to submit your game, even if it’s just a prototype. Sometimes, an unfinished idea can be more innovative than a polished one.
- Keep It Simple: Focus on creating a small, well-executed game rather than trying to do too much.
- Test Early and Often: Playtest your game as you go to catch issues early and refine your design.
- Communicate With Your Teammate: If you’re working in a team, make sure to stay in sync with your partner.
- Prioritize Fun: Remember, the goal is to create something enjoyable. If you’re having fun making it, players are likely to have fun playing it.
The games will be rated on the following criteria: Fun, Respect of the theme and Originality. All participants can vote.
Lazy Dev Participants: Your rating will not affect your eligibility for the green belt, it's just for fun.
