This game jam is based on the TTRPG "Folk," a rules-light collaborative role-playing game for one Lore Keeper and 2-4 players (Lore Seekers). Folk is inspired by a deep love of local traditions and folklore, and by the desire to explore them in a game.
You can find it here (free download): https://czamboni.itch.io/folk
This jam is for you and about you: I want to hear about your folk stories, your traditions, the creatures that inhabit your cultures, the mysteries that haunt your folks. So look at the submission details and share your folklore by mid-November!

In the "Folk" manual, you will find the rules of the game as well as detailed instructions on how to create and adventure based on your own folklore. Please look at pages 47-54 specifically. Use those pages (but interpret them them as you prefer) as a guide to create playable adventures based on your knowledge of people and places, their traditions, rituals, and stories. Start from existing local folklore and be respectful of it.
Please upload a PDF file, and make sure that you have the rights to share all words and images you use. If you want look for Public Domain Images, start here.
If you read Italian and want to see an example of an adventure set among the folklore of Puglia (Southern Italy), please find one on the CampfireRPG Itch page (the file is called "Creazione Scenari and Orco Nanni").
The Folk Game Jam will run from July 16 until November 17, so there is a lot of time to write an adventure and submit it. Adventures are accepted in any language, but English is preferred. A selection of adventures will be considered for a future publication, with compensation.
I look forward to reading your fascinating folk stories!
Camilla

This jam (and the game "Folk") is dedicated to the loving memory of Davide Ragona, who was a wonderful, talented, dedicated, passionate, and kind soul.
He left this life too early, and he will be sorely missed. He curated the beautiful layout of "Folk," which was his last project, a testament to his craft.
