This jam is now over. It ran from 2021-02-22 06:00:00 to 2021-03-02 05:30:00.
Fonts are something that can really add an extra layer of character and spice to a text. Whether it be a fancy document title, a barely legible scrawl for something spooky, or even something simple and appealing for someone's blog, fonts are an amazing asset to help make one's writing stand out more. And in the case of some, the mere sight of an interesting font can spark up several ideas in one's mind. And that's what this jam is for!
The Font Frenzy Jam centers around participants creating a game inspired by a font! It can be any font — from something you feel could be the basis for a compelling story, to a font that evokes a certain emotion from you, or maybe you just want an excuse to make something cool based on a neat typeface you found. Either way, now's your chance to make a game!
The jam will start at 12:00 AM CST on Saturday, the 22nd of February! Then it ends on the 1st of March, at 11:30 PM CST.
Font Frenzy is hosted by Project Apple, a new Discord server for hobbyist game devs made by three people with way too many ambitions for it.
Need to ask a question? Wanna talk about the jam with other participants? Or, do you just want a place to talk about game development in general?
Well, feel free to join the Project Apple Discord group!
Keep in mind we are still a new server, and due to us being more than just related to the jam you must read the rules before gaining access to the rest of the server. So sorry if this is an inconvenience for anyone!
