Welcome to FurryGameJam.0

The first edition of FurryGameJam!

This Jam will primarily be coordinated through the FurryGameJam Discord Server, so be sure to join here: Furry Game Jam Discord Server

What is a Game Jam?

A Game Jam is when several developers come together over a short period to create a game project. Generally, game jams have restrictions or specific direction (themes) to help guide the design and inspire the developers.

Furry Game Jam will last a week and aims to encourage the creation of more games within the furry community.

Theme

The theme for the Furry Game Jam will be unveiled on the FurryGameJam Discord Server on November 21st, 2024, at 22:00 CET.

Setup

All communications will be done via the FurryGameJam Discord server, and a space will be provided to join or create a team. You can also participate solo, but teaming up is highly recommended!

Here, you can find resources to guide you through making a game, even if this is your first time!

Voting

The public will be able to vote on submissions based on five categories, those being:

  • Interpretation of the Theme
  • Art Direction
  • Audio (Music and Sound)
  • Narrative
  • Gameplay

Rules

  • Everyone is welcome to participate. However, we advise that individuals under 18 (minors) do not participate. Those aged 16 and 17 may join with parental permission. Underage participants can participate if a parent or guardian supervises during the game jam. We want to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
  • All submissions should be SFW, and any submissions featuring sensitive topics should be marked with appropriate content warnings.
  • All submissions must adhere to itch.io's Terms of Service.
  • No Generative AI content is allowed.
  • Participants may only use assets for which they have a commercial license.
  • Your submission must run in the browser (have a WebGL Build).
    • This rule applies to game engines that support WebGL; submissions made in Roblox, for example, would not need to meet this criterion.
  • Teams can consist of a maximum of six members.
  • Submissions should also include a 1-minute video showcasing gameplay
