Welcome to the second Future Game Awards (FGA)! 

The FGA is an award show presented by Gamechangers student union in Stockholm and Malmö. Futuregames Awards (FGA) is a place for Futuregames students to submit any games or prototypes, personal or school-related, they've been working on during their time at Futuregames!

Presented by Gamechangers Stockholm and Gamechangers Malmö

This years categories is going to be: 

  • Design
  • Overall Art
  • Audio
  • Tech
  • Animation
  • Visual Effects
  • Narrative design 
  • Level Design 
  • Judge's choice

Please note: If you have used any assets that aren't self made, for example already made 3D models you will have to convey that information since you wont be able to be nominated for a category if assets used are bought or free to use and not made by a team member.  

Game Submissions Deadline:

Soft deadline is the 15th of November if there is any problems with the game at this time it's we will go through the submissions on that day and get back to the developer/developers if there is something that need to be amended.  

Hard Deadline: 30th of November this is the final date that you can submit your game! If there is any problems with the game not starting or vice versa the game will not be able to be judged. Any bugs and glitches at this time will not be able to be changed or updated. 

How do I submit?

You will have to upload your prototype/Game to an itch.io game page that you will then submit to this game jam.  (Follow the instructions and you will be fine.)

What do I submit? 

You can submit any school projects, prototypes, own personal projects etc done while enrolled at Futuregames.

Requirements 

When?

The preliminary date is 15th of January (Will update if date of the ceremony changes)

Who? 

Any student currently enrolled with Futuregames, as well as industry professionals per invite.  

Please note that we require at least one developer to attend the award ceremony.

  • Credits (the team that created the game) If there are bought or free to use assets in the game convey that information as well.
  • A short description of the game. Elevator pitch and length of game. 
  • Instructions: Keyboard and mouse or controller?
    • How do we play? Is there a tutorial?
    • Is it single player or multiplayer? If so how many players
  • Screenshots from the game
  • Logo, Poster, and or trailer (For marketing purposes and presentations)
    • Deadline for marketing material is the 15th of December 

FAQ:

  • Who can submit?
    • All current Futuregames students, no matter the year. Requirement for one team member or other representative to be able to attend the event on your behalf. 
    • As long as the entire team are current Futuregames students.
  • Who are the judges?
    • Unannounced, but we're working with Ali Farha, technical producer from Star Stable, to ensure we have a good selection!
  • Any prizes? Trophies?
    • We're talking to sponsors, but we at gamechangers Stockholm will provide with trophies.  we hope to announce more prizes soon! It's not a prioritization, but we are working on it.
  • Who is organizing this immaculate event?
    • The GameChangers, the student union of Futuregames Stockholm and Malmö. We are organizing it independently from school but in collaboration with Ali Farha, Bretton Hamilton and Annika Stråth Roslund.
