  • The game looks cute and charming with the low poly aesthetic paired with bright and warm colors. The soundtrack fits the atmosphere very well. The gameplay is a bit confusing since it isn't exactly clear which plots of farm land you can plant and which type of crop. You can only really tell if you stand on top of it with an available crop in your inventory that fits it. The movement is also a bit awkward as the collision is very sensitive to objects elevations such as grass and the floor of buildings. I find myself getting stuck against objects that shouldn't stop me from moving like the rocks and pebbles on the road. I couldn't find the city as I spent majority of my time searching for it going towards both ends of the map and finding no success. I couldn't sell my goods to the city and I also couldn't reach any of the quota. There is also a bug when it comes to buying crops. You can decrease the amount of crops to the negative and that actually nets you money. The combat is also awkward since enemies don't really react to your attacks and there are no indicators if you are doing any damage to them until they actually die. There's also an issue with the death animation of enemies resetting whenever you walk near them again after backing away. It would really help to have indicators inside the game to instruct the player on where things are and what you can do. For example, you could place signs next to the farm plots to indicate what crop is grown there. You can indicate where the city is via signs as well so that the player doesn't have to keep guessing. There's no hook for the game at the moment but I can imagine the type of gameplay you guys are going for and I would love to see this game developed more. I hope you guys learned a lot during this short amount of time and I'm looking forward for the kind of games you would be developing in the future. Also props for using Godot! I'm glad more people are giving it attention.
