• Mystic Mayhem is a game that showcases a lot of potential with its cute pixel art and intriguing concept of trading life to get upgrades. The game successfully incorporates the theme of the game jam and features good audio and visuals. However, the confusing mechanic of the weapon takes away from the overall experience of the game. The mouse control for the weapon feels clunky and imprecise, which can be frustrating when trying to take out enemies. Additionally, the spawn locations of the enemies could be problematic as they could appear right on top of the player, leading to quick deaths. Despite these issues, Mystic Mayhem is a game worth playing, with an innovative mechanic that could be improved upon with some tweaking.
