Well this game sounds fun but i hat troublle playing it.
Oh can I have some details!
I tried making the readme and the video helpful for anyone stuck, so if there are any problems let me know!
Well not sure if it's only me but i hat trouble moving around, also at some point when i was heading south there was a bleep on one of the squares and i wasn't sure what it is for. Maybe if you could implement some kind of a radar which tells you where's an empty space or wall by sound? Also if there could be a way to cut out speech. Once i was eaten by wolfes or something like that when i was talking to the guy on the southern part, and after they killed me and i was at the starting position that guy was still telling me about his passion.
Oh the wolf means that it's night time, so you get teleported home!
Pressing space cuts out the speech! I thought that was somewhere, so I apologize.
The navigation is based on the paths, so not sure what bleep you're referring too. Is it right after you leave your house? If so , it's letting you know you're at the crossroads!
OK i'm gonna try it out again. I thought that wolf ate me or something lol
Nice and relaxing game. Congrats!
wo! I hope the game does not end here, I look forward to the future of this game. Fun and relaxing
Oh thank you!
Hopefully you were able to meet some of the npcs and had fun just fishing, planting, and maybe find some stuff in the forage area!
there's a bug when you get a radar from the smith and try fishing, I received an error code
Oh so sorry about that! I'll look at that right now.
Okay I uploaded a fixed version if you're still interested in playing!
Thank you so much for reporting it! Let me know if you have any other problems!
i like the concept and how the foot steps changes according to the terrain, i found some interesting spots in the map.
sometimes is easy to get lost, i'm not sure whats the best solution for this maybe:
- keep the map and the navigation in 2d (left-right)
- a key to to mark a zone in the map where do you want to go and have some wind sound taht guides you to the right spot.
i hope you keep working on this, looks interesting!
Thanks for your kind words!
I think making it a 1d game would be too simplistic and not nearly as fun. But if I continue working on this game I for sure will add more navigation assistances. But I'll post an update fixing some of the bugs, and then soon will make a tutorial video since I didn't have time to make one in game!
This is seriously the kind of game that I enjoy. I love farming sims such as harvest moon since I was like 5. My vision keep getting werst as time goes however, so I can't play video games anymore. Thank you for your atempt so far. as for my experience, it looks like I can't plant my first seed for some reason. I tried buying them from the store first, but still no luck. there are a few more issues as well. First, I can't press escape to close the cooking menu. second, if, for example I went to the fishing spot, and walk a little to the left, the game would strangely teleport me back home. this is the same case as when I went to the Valley. Third, when the time is on evening or night, I can't hear anything, there is no foot steps and sound effects.
Thanks so much!
It looks like I majorly messed up the hot key system right before uploading! That's what I get for last minute changes!
I uploaded a fixed version, I'm also going to upload a video/recording tutorial to help ease people in a bit later today!
You will want to go through the hotkey section to make sure it's all set up since it was previously broken, thanks again for playing!
Awe this is so wholesome :) I usually get lost in these kinds of games but I really enjoyed just exploring and listening to all the relaxing outdoorsy sounds, and I was able to find my way around to some interesting spots! Really love the concept. Keep it up!
Thank you so much! I've never heard another audio game like this, so I spent a lot of time trying to make sure navigation was good! Hopefully you did alright and met some of the NPCs!
