Tools and resources
I used TyranoBuilder as the game engine.

The songs in this game were originally traditional folk songs, but I made my own versions of them from scratch during this jam with Reason 10. This was the most rewarding and challenging part of this jam.
("Bonnie Ship The Diamond" & "The Fisherman's Song")

The ambient sounds were CC0 assets from freesound.org. Some audio editing was done in Audacity.

Pictures used were CC0 images from pexels.com.

How long was your development time in hours?
I am terrible at counting the hours, but I'd say at least around 52+ for the whole week.

How does the game fit into the design constraint "sad games"?
I used several of these constraints as guides while shaping the mood of the story. I tried to include as many as possible. "Living with (and accepting?) sadness" is one of the biggest themes here.
