Hello all, and welcome to the Games Design and Development Society, and this is our first event of the year.

The theme of the jam is:

 New or Old, Show us what you've got 

(there is NO theme, all you have to do is show us a game that you've made)

This is an introduction to us as a society, but also an introduction to many new faces, so this jam will run a bit differently to others we've set up in the past. For this jam, it doesn't matter what you make (provided it isn't NSFW or something, we still have rules lol), you can work on anything, a new project, an old project you didn't finish, just make and upload something. 

You are free to use existing projects, provided they aren't already finished, don't feel required to use an existing project if you have one. I want to stress the fact that this is not ranked, don't feel like you're at a disadvantage because you started from scratch.

We have a 2 weekish long duration for this event, please don't spend the entire 2 weeks on this, your study is more important. 

Another difference from other jams we've done is that this one is not a competition, there is no rating, it's for yourself

RULES:

• Each entrant can only submit one game.
• You can update your submission any number of times during the submission period.
• You can use any game engine or tools to create your game.
• Under no circumstances will AI-generated content be allowed in your jam submission. This includes the use of generative AI in the process of creating art, assets, music production, sound design, coding, plot writing, dialogue, or any displayed content in your submission page as well as co-pilot-like features present in some game engines.
• No NSFW stuff, blood and whatnot is fine, just try to not make your game an 18 rating
• You can use existing code and assets but please make sure you credit the assets and code you used that were not yours. Public domain and copyright whatnot.
  • Speaking of existing code and assets, you are free to use existing projects, provided they aren't already finished, don't feel required to use an existing project if you have one.
• Feel free to work with others in a group but please do not join more than one group (since you can only submit one game).
