Kitbash: In models and toymaking; the use of one, or more, kits + aftermarket parts/self-made parts to make a substantially different version or completely different object.
In our context it means taking pre-made asset packs and substantially altering them to make a brand new Game Boy Style Game. To participate in voting, you must be listed as a contributor.
| Your game must primarily use assets that are CC0, Freeware, free on itch.io, or are otherwise publicly available.
| Your game must use at least two different creator's assets. 3 or more unique asset packs is preferred.
| 4 Color Limit: At any point in time, the Game must only display 4 unique colors at once. Dithering is allowed, but alpha layering is not. 4 Colors is 4 Colors is 4 Colors.
| Resolution: Gameboys have a 10:9 aspect ratio, or 160 x 144 pixels. Games must maintain this aspect ration, but aren't limited on pixel size. Thus a 1600 x 1440 pixel resolution is perfectly acceptable.
| Button Limit: Gameboys have A, B, Direction Inputs, Select, and Start. Your game is limited to having similar inputs. Don't rely on the mouse. Your games should be playable using a gamepad or keyboard.
| Solo and Team entries are allowed, but limited to 4 people per team. Make sure to add all team members as contributors.
