Much approve for thumbs up buddha ! And the fact that being disturbed by the birds only results in a loss of progress instead of a hard fail is such a welcomed quality of life design. I think there is something going on with one of the initialization variables as the first 'death' pops up an error window, but after that it works fine with the buddha quotes coming up. Other than that it plays solidly, the sprites and colours are very pleasant and the music is aptly soothing ~
The game was really good. but it crashed when i died.
Thank you! Yeah we didn't manage to put in a restart mechanic that begins the game again when you die, but we definitely will in a future version :)
How charming! Blushing buddha made me smile.
I like that the goal of achieving focus is mirrored in how much you have to focus to avoid the animals.
Thanks for sharing this!
Thanks man, glad you enjoyed it :) to be honest I haven't thought of it that way before, but now that you mention it, we really were trying to match premise and gameplay.
Just curious, did you find it easy to play the first time, did you see any of the "Death Screens" at all?
I got hit by one very fast bird, but finished it just fine the first time. Are the "death screens" worth a revisit?
I do think so :) We've made seven different ones and there's one really good joke among them.
Nice entry!
Haha, blushing buddha won me over :) Awesome entry! Also very nice codiing. I also user pygame for my project, but I have to admit I need to work a bit on the code structure.
Haha, then I'm glad we included him :D And thanks, our programmer surely feels flattered! He actually went through the code a couple of times just to clean it up, so no worries. What works works, especially in a game jam :)
