  • I played this game with a group of friends. We enjoyed the pink sheep, and the crab boss was a huge surprise! The gameplay had a few bugs with collisions - sometimes the rockets went right through the sheep! We thought the game could've been a bit shorter, and after we defeated the crab boss we let it run for a while, but we didn't see the princess. The graphics, especially the backgrounds, were full of charm - unfortunately the art had more than four colours on the screen at one time. We appreciated the music, but felt there could've been more for a game that length - or maybe the game could've been shorter.

I think the biggest piece of feedback I would give is to consider speeding up the gameplay a bit; the player ship and the ships of the enemies feel a bit like they're moving through molasses right now.

I love the sprite for the ship and all the backgrounds, they're very cute! (and nice music too!)

Developer

Yeah, I think you're right, we're currently focusing on bugs but once that's done, we'll work on the overall feel of the game.

The music is my favorite part of this game,  love it, the background graphics and the dithering effect that shows when moving from a level to another are amazing, the gameplay could benefit from more varied attack/movement patterns for the enemies, liked the boss fight but after defeating it the game just continues, is this normal? fun game tho!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your feedback! Yeah, it is normal, we planned a lot more originally but due to some technical difficulties we didn't have the time to put something to end it. We're currently working on a post jam version with a LOT of bugfixes and new functionalities (and more musics!).

Congratulations on finishing your game for the game jam! Unfortunately, it shows more than four colours on the screen at once (which is one of the criteria for the jam) and thus it won't be eligible for a prize. However, I won't remove it from the submissions to allow other people to enjoy the effort you've put in.

Thank you. We in fact noticed that only a few minutes before publishing, we're probably going to release a post jam version where everything will be fixed. Due to technical difficulties we weren't able to make everything we planned to on time but the experience is still very nice.

Did the princess ever appear? We were excited to fight against her.

Hey thanks for playing it! The boss was meant to have a phase 2 where you would have to defeat the princess, but because of life events and longer bugs slaying than we anticipated we ended up considerably reducing our scope, but we plan to release what we originally envisualized in the post jam version (we've already been working on it, solving more bugs).

I hope you'll give the updated game a try ^^
