This is a tabletop/traditional Game Jam for the /gdg/ Game Design General community in Discord and 4chan's /tg/, and not meant to be a public jam.
If it weren't for the games we make and our sense of getting shit done, we wouldn't be here after a year. What better way to celebrate our dev capabilities, than to dev?
A Game Jam is an event where designers create games over a designated and limited period of time (usually under a set theme), and submit it for everyone to look at and judge.
Starting January 5th, you have up to two weeks to create an original traditional game FROM SCRATCH. RPG, wargame, cardgame, boardgame, anything goes, as long as it's /tg/-related.
To submit a game to this event, you'll need an itch.io account. If you make one now, you'll be able to participate in future Game Jams as well!
NONE - though the 24-hour RPG chart is a recommended starting point as an added challenge - just ignore the "24-hour" rule and use it for the rolls. You can also use it for non-RPGs as well, it's just a handy way to generate ideas.
A public jury will vote between the submissions, and only the BEST game will stand out among the rest, for ego-stroking purposes and unlimited bragging privileges.
After the submission time is over, the three days following the submission period will be open for voting the games based on certain criteria:
These categories are ranked with a 5-star system, and an Overall score will be determined from the average scores. However, each category will have a winner of its own.
