Pros Great music that looped well and suited the tone of the game effectively. Game premise was very straightforward and direct, it is easy for the player to quickly to get into the action. Good incorporation of a difficulty curve, with how you grow weaker as you progress (although I do wish this was better communicated or made more noticable through gameplay.) Liked how the door emitted light in contrast with the dark environment, so that it could be easily identified and located. Cons There's a lack of feedback that is provided to the player in response to their input and the events of the game. For instance, there were several times when I didn't even realise I was being damaged. Hitting an enemy also feels incredibly weak. Ensure that you are providing visual indicators (e.g. having the screen flash, the enemy flash etc.) so that it is more obvious that these events are happening, and also to make player input more satisfying. Sound could definitely be added for the same reasons as above, with them acting as a great form of feedback to the player. Alongside this, their inclusion will make the game feel more lively. Everything was far too dark and made identifying enemies difficult. Visuals were repetitive, would have liked to have seen more environmental objects in rooms, alongside possible colour variations, rather than sticking with red for the entire playthrough. Wished the progression was more obviously communicated; I couldn't see any indication of what room I was currently in or how long I had survived for. This was a pretty fun game, just ensure that you consider what the player needs to know while playing the game, and that you communicate that information effectively. Good work!
