This year GGJ Victoria 2025 will be online only so organize yourselves into teams on discord. 

Prize Details

This year a prize has been sponsored by Games and Tech Victoria! The prizes awarded for the Victoria based Global Game Jam 2025 will be awarded by rank once the 48 hour jam window has been concluded. 

To be eligible for the prize you must:

- live within the Capitol Regional District

- complete all work on your game within the 48 hours of the Global Game Jam Victoria event window which starts on January 24, 2025 at 5:00pm PST and ends January 26, 2025 at 5:00pm PST

- have your game be one of 3 top ranked games as determined by participant voting.

- successfully submitted a game to both the itch.io page (https://itch.io/jam/ggj-victoria-2025) and Global Game Jam site (https://globalgamejam.org/jam-sites/2025/ggj-victoria-2025) before 6:00pm PST on January 26, 2025.

Voting will open at 6:00pm PST on January 26, 2025 at which time submissions will be closed. Voting will conclude on January 30, 2025 and winners will be announced on Friday January 31, 2025. 

Prizes for the top three winning entries are as follows:

5 x $20 Steam Gift Cards for First

5 x $10 Steam Gift Cards for Second

5 x $10 Steam Gift Cards for Third

Game Submission

Your game must be submitted to the GGJ site here, https://globalgamejam.org/jam-sites/2025/ggj-victoria-2025, by 6:00pm January 26, 2025. GGJ requires upload of source code.

In order to participate in the prize competition you must have a submission as well on our itch.io jam site https://itch.io/jam/ggj-victoria-2025. See above for voting details.
