I barely missed the deadline, what do I do?
Ask in the discord server and we might grant an exception depending on your situation.

Can I change my game after the jam ends?
No* You may not change your game after the submission period ends without permission. However, if your submission has game breaking bugs you can ask in on the discord server for an exception.
Do not attempt to evade this by posting a link in the submission's description to a different build. Once the jam winners are announced you can do as you please with your game's itch.io page.
If you have any issues you can ask in the discord server - we are chill :3

Who has ownership of the game I submit?
You keep all ownership rights to your game, anything you make is your property, and the jam hosts claim no rights or ownership of your game.  However, by submitting to this jam, you grant us (the hosts) the right for your game to appear in promotional footage. We also recommend making your game open source, however that is not required.

Can I use preexisting assets?
Yes, however, your submission must be primarily made during the jam and you must cite everything that you use in the correct field.

Where can I get some assets and tools to make my game?
Here is the first search result to a list of game dev tools and assets for game jams. Make sure to give credit to all that you use!
