This was an interesting idea and a well executed Zelda-like pixel RPG, I can definitely see a lot of work went into it! I liked the consistent art style, but felt the UI got lost on the screen and I didn't know what most of it meant. I did enjoy dodging/attacking the enemies though and the music complemented the game well!
A tutorial would really help to keep players involved and perhaps an explanation of what they need to do.

There's a lot of good stuff in this, but it could use a tutorial or at least a description of controls. Strange thing is that I actually had a lot of fun trying to escape those thingies (which isn't always a given when playing a game jam entry, I mean, just look at mine, haha..), but I wasn't sure if I'm actually doing what I'm supposed to be doing.
Really like the visual style.
