Whether you're a Glitch or a Ghost, we're all breaking free of the machine! Join us in a super casual little jammy jam!

Glitchy Ghost Jam is sort of like a new year's resolution game jam, only we're super casual about it, we promise! This jam is going to run from January 22, 2024 at 18:00 EST through February 5, 2024 18:00 EST and is designed to help you jam and catch up with peers who participated in the 2023 IGM program hosted by Code Coven. Revamp a project you worked on during the program, start a completely new one, or even just come to hang out and update us on whatever you're working on now, it doesn't matter! This jam is designed to just keep you in the game and help remind you that we're here for you! Come join us! 

Rules:

• Submit any type of game or game update created with UE5 by February 5, 2024 18:00 EST.
  • Both new and existing games are allowed
• This game does not have to be fully complete, but it does have to be playable and meet your desired MVP (Minimum Viable Product)
• Use any tools you want, there are no restrictions and nothing stopping you
• You must provide a Design Document like the ones presented for your Final Project.
• Work alone or in teams, get help from whoever you need
• If you do need help, you must reach out! We're here for you and don't want this jam to be stressful or impossible to finish just because you're struggling a little.
• Use any assets that you're legally allowed to use, there are plenty of resources out there if you're struggling for graphics or music
• No AI-generated content
• No hate speech or bigotry!

• Q: Did you decide to run this game jam just as an excuse to make more friends from the IGM cohort?
  • A: Yes absolutely!
• Q: If I was working on a game with a group before, but now I'm working solo, can I still submit it?
  • A: Yes, we're looking forward to playing it! Just be sure to credit your teammates for what they contributed!
• Q: If I wasn't in the 2023 IGM program but I want to join this jam, can I?
  • Sure- but you'll have to reach out to one of the groups and join with them. We would never exclude potential friends!! But the primary purpose of this jam is to make sure the peers from the 2023 IGM program have a chance to jump back on the bandwagon in a safe and secure place. Reach out on the Community Tab to see who takes a bite!
• Q: Can I continue working on my game after the deadline? 
  • Yes absolutely, feel free to use this jam as a starting point for something even better.  Just post a demo or a alpha to the jam and then carry on improving it.
