Challenging game. I included it in my GMTK Game Jam 2019 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)
Visually very well polished game. The idea of combining ammo and health into one resource can be interesting, but unfortunately the game jam seems to be very saturated with these. That's clearly no fault of your own, but unfortunately it makes it harder for me to be engaged by the design. I wonder if you could improve your take on it by adding some kind of slo-mo mechanic, which would still make you feel like a badass while pulling off very precise shots. I think it would also go well with the game's aesthetic. Anyway, keep it up!
This idea sounds fun. Im gonna try it out goin further with the project. Thank you for trying it :)
The idea needs to be explored more. Pretty nice use of UE4 for a jam. Check our game: https://cerosware.itch.io/one-stick-shooter
The idea isn't new, as there were a lot of games with similar mechanics on the last Ludum Dare. However, you done it well using UE4. It plays fine, however, there is a lack of feedback on getting damege and dealing damage to enemies. Well done. Keep going using UE4.
The Shooting and movement go well together and feel very natural after only playing a wave or two. It's also pretty challenging, I could only made it to stage 8 before getting swarmed away from the health pickups. The resource bar looks cool but it's hard to tell how much I have left and how much each shot take away.
Thank you for the kind feedback :) Actually wanted to redo the resource bar but couldnt find the time for it. It's the only visual art I havent done by myself^^
Love how satisfying it is to destroy enemies! This could be really cool if it was developed further. Making the movement and act of shooting just as satisfying as the explosions and I would have had trouble putting it down!
I am actually considering to go along with this project. Thank you for the kind words <3
I downloaded the .zip file and ran the .exe and then I got this error, unfortunately. :(
Hey. That sucks :( What OS are you running on? Only tried it on Windows 10 64bit.
