The concept itself is really good! The multitasking required adds tension. There could be a button that switches the game between "reload mode" and "aim mode"; that way you could aim freely, instead of just shooting sideways (unless I got something wrong). Great job!

Have to split my attention to both run for my live and prepare to strike back.
Will get a better mouse to handle the high precision stuff (coming back later for hi-score)
Art is great, the gun sound effects are very on point.
Platforming can be more fun if you ask me, but deprived platforming may actually bring my focus back into the reloading fun
