Nice little game. Loved the graphic style (and the hard work into drawing them).
Nice ui, letting you know which system is compromised by the AI.
I wish the AI can take over 2 systems at once, but i guess it will just be too difficult.
One time the AI took over the beeps and boops and when i take back control i punish it by spamming spacebar. have i gone mad?
Thanks for the feedback! I tested the idea of the AI hacking 2 systems at once early on, but that made it almost unplayable. And yes, rapid-fire beeping is a perfectly valid way to assert dominance.
Overall a nice little game. I really dig how you make sure the player know the control before starting the game, so great on that.
Game is a bit to easy though, even with the random jump. Like after a while, I just died on purpose because there was nothing new coming in and there was nothing to grind for like a high score.
Anyway, really cool that you did music and art on top of the code. So yeah prompt to you !
This is pretty neat! I love how the lights on the UI unambiguously tell you what you don't have control over. Maybe I got lucky, but it seemed like the AI mostly kept swapping between controling the music & the beeping and booping, so it rarely bothered my play much lol.
If I were to make a suggestion for the game, it would be to add some sort of points system or win state. There wasn't any indication that I was doing well other than the spike balls spawn rate very gradually increasing.
Great stuff! =)
I agree, a scoring system would have been a great addition. Some kind of queue to prevent the AI from doing the same things over and over would probably have helped too, glad you enjoyed it regardless!
