Really fun game and concept! I love the core of this game, and the large "dictionary" and rules.
My biggest gripe was having everything kinda "dumped" on me at once, which I think lead me to misunderstanding some of the game (for example, I didn't realize that the Text was the "spell" that the rules referred to; instead I thought that it was simply the name of the enemy. This I think could be solved by having the game tutorial you through the first spell casting).
If this game were to get a post-jam update, I would love to see a version where the player has a "compendium" that they fill out whenever they cast a spell, so that they can see what the combinations do, and maybe it could hint at what things lead to what other combinations.
Good luck in the jam!
Thanks again for checking out our game & for the feedback! ^^
such a fun game! I loved looking through the papers trying to find the right translations! I was a bit confused on what I was supposed to do in the case I wasn't allowed to cast the spell (more just me being dumb haha), but amazing job given the time constraints!
thank you so much! ^^ glad you had fun!
I had quite a bit of fun with this game. I NEED MORE DESK SPACE AAAA
Thank you for playing! ^^
There's so much paper, which is the only thing I don't like about this game. Pretty unique concept!
Thank you for playing! ^^ We originally intended to put some of the papers together into a booklet so the table wouldn't be as messy, but time constraints, so very valid point!
I really really, liked this game! Although I was having trouble decrypting some of them. I couldn't figure some of them out and gave up. A little more instruction would have been nice. Other than that I really enjoyed it though!
Thank you! ^^ We had a few other hint papers we wanted to add but ran out of time, I know a few are pretty tricky, sorry about that!
The more papers I kept pulling out of that damn desk drawer, the more I couldn’t stop laughing. Overall really enjoyable, fun to try and puzzle out what combinations to make.
Glad you liked it, thank you! We had fun making all those papers ^^
Good game!
thank you! ^^
