Game does nothing also if pressing any possible key on the keyboard or the mouse.
Interesting game idea.
I think you are using the distance of the mouse to the table to calculate the velocity. I my opinion you should just use the mouse direction. I smashed my keyboard pretty hard and couldn't get over the first gap till I figured out I have to move my mouse in the top right corner to get more speed :D.
I used my second Monitor and got a crazy amount of speed ;D.
