How does your submission match the theme?
The main mechanic is that attacking an enemy is the only way to move. This means that attacking is dual-purpose, and enemies are dual purpose (since they're needed to have something to attack; also they're the win condition). The other items you encounter in levels also tend to have multiple purposes as well.

There are a couple very small bits of code from Stack Overflow (which I then edited...). Otherwise it's all me (pure JavaScript, not even jQuery...).
